I'm reviewing the cover strictly in terms of quality. I am still waiting for my Kindle to arrive but the cover came this morning and I am quite pleased. It is, as other's have noted, a different, slightly darker red color. Soft to the touch. Nice, white edge stitching. The flap that closes the cover tucks into a small leather indentation on the front. We'll see how that holds up to use (when the Kindle finally arrives) but it's a nice desgin touch. my kids got me one of these for christmas. it's well worth it. i had some trouble with my kindle sliding out of the cover it came with but this one keeps it securely in place. if i hadn't gotten it for a gift i would have bought one for myself.

Just recieved my RED leather jacket for my Kindle and love it. I kept the padding that came with it as I read in other reviews and think this is the perfect way to carry my Kindle where ever I go. A little on the expensive side - but hey, the Kindle's not exactly cheap. So much nicer than the case that comes with the Kindle. Glad I splurged and added this to my order.

I was disappointed. Yes, the Kindle fits securely, but folded back this case cannot be held comfortably. It's just too thick and bulky and hurts my hand. I'm sticking to the original black case which I can hold comfortably with one hand with the cover folded back. Also the padding of the original case protects the Kindle better.
I've returned the red leather case. I suggest that you save your money for a true Kindle cover in another color.

Got the red leather case for Christmas and I LOVE it, the way it feels, so soft, and I love how the kindle stays in place now with that feature up on the right hand corner, keeps it from moving, NICE!!!
I love my new cover for my kindle!
Get the red, it's eye-popping beautiful and nice to hold.
Can't go back to the case the kindle came with.
Well worth the money spent.
Made me happy on Christmas day!
